How To Count Bars

This class will introduce the concept of bar counting and give students an opportunity to try various exercises to count bars of 4.  This skill is a crucial to the art of deejaying. You must finish this class before you can advance to the next.

Warm Up Exercises

The fader is an elemental tool of the deejay and in this class you will learn to control how to transition from one turntable to the other.

This class is an advanced exercise in recovering from a poor mix.  Students will have to track 2 songs at 2 different bpm and learn how to follow one.

What's A Revolutions

This class will focus on how to count revolutions.  The class will offer multiple exercises to master this fundamental.

Using Revolutions To Locate Song Points

This class will train the deejay how to use counting revolutions as a method to locate points on a song.

Using Sounds To Locate Song Points

This class will provide techniques of quickly locating song point by listening for particular cues. This class can be done with or without headphones. Students must complete this video before advancing to the next lesson.

Wait For It Exercise

This is another fun and unique exercise where students will have an opportunity to find identical song locations.

How To Use The Sync Button

This class will examine the use of the sync button and show how it can be a useful device in some situations. The sync button can not replace the other techniques that make a great DJ but it is still good to know how to use it. Students must complete this video before advancing to the next lesson.
